Stargate: Timekeepers
New footage for Stargate: Timekeepers is finally here with things feeling a little less like your average Stargate fun
It is time to spin up your own personal Stargate if you have one, as it is time for a little more gameplay to take in for the upcoming title from Creative Forge Games and Slitherine. This would be the real-time tactics title that we had announced for our PC a while back with little to look at beyond the name. Now we have a good chunk of gameplay here for Stargate: Timekeepers that will give us a little taste of things to come. Even if some of it does not feel like the traditional bits we have known from the IP. Thankfully, this is a short segment so it could all just be a much smaller part of the fun that will be coming down the pipes when the game is completely ready for market.
Maybe it is just me, but in the Stargate realm of entertainment, I do not remember as much stealth as we have to see here. This is labeled as mission two for the game, so it feels like it could be setting us up for something that will be a bit more core to the rest of the game. None of which means it does not look fun to experience here. Even if it is used sparingly in Stargate: Timekeepers, it looks like we will need to manage not only our character’s stealth, but also keep a close eye on all of the enemy’s senses and how we can use the environment to help us make it through. Some of which feels like it should raise some alarms in the mix, but maybe it will make better sense when the full game drops on us. Have a gander and see what the hullabaloo is all about for this game as we sit back and wait for even more.
Stargate: Timekeepers — Mission 2 “The Resistance”
Stargate: Timekeepers is a real-time tactics game where you lead a team of specialists through a story-driven campaign set in the SG-1 universe. Sneak your characters behind enemy lines, use their unique skills, craft the perfect plan to unravel a timeloop mystery, and defeat the Goa’uld threat.
Did you expect there to be this much stealth in a game based around Stargate or does it make more sense in the SG-1 line of it all? Do you think this will only be used in smaller sections of the core game or will it be gameplay we will need to master along the way to make sure we are able to succeed? Is it curious as to why none of the encampment here is alarmed when a car crashes into multiple targets or does it make a bit of sense? Give us all of that feedback and much more down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all if you so wish to. We will keep sharing all that we can for Stargate: Timekeepers, so be sure to keep a close eye on the site and our socials for more of all of this.
