South Park: The Fractured But Whole

More gameplay for South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been released for Gamescom & it goes into more of the crafting system for this South Park game

Last year at Gamescom South Park: The Fractured But Whole had a nice showing of the game at the state it was at that also came with a 4D experience of being able to smell the farts that were being produced. It was something to say you did and it gave Ubisoft a chance to spend more money promoting a title that was later delayed for almost another year. This year, as I am assuming, they are playing it a bit safer and, assuming, they are showing off a bit more of the demo for The Fractured But Whole that was shown off at E3. All the assumptions of course coming from the fact that they just released the second half of the demo to be viewed as the boys dig deeper into one of South Park’s fine establishments: The Peppermint Hippo.

This part of the demo here for The Fractured But Whole focuses more on the crafting and looting systems for the game that were barely touched upon for the masses last time. It does go a bit further though as the demo I had to experience during E3 ended at the point where Classi comes to the stage, so there is a bit more here for Gamescom but not too much more. Then again, the focus here is all on the crafting and looting for South Park: The Fractured But Whole and just how that all works.

More or less, it works a bit as it did before in The Stick Of Truth as you will be going around and searching out containers to open with random items in them. You will also need to interact with the background and area to open up some of these hiding spots so you can collect certain items. From there you will take said items and match them up to recipes, like many other games out there, and then select the crafting option. Each time you craft, your crafting level will increase and give you access to bigger and better items. All of which is pretty much the standard we have in any other RPG title like South Park: The Fractured But Whole. Have a look for yourself though as the humor is what truly sets it all apart.

What elements from South Park proper are you hoping to see make it into the final game here? Let everyone know how twisted you by commenting below and then continuing the discussion from there.
