South Park: The Fractured But Whole

The full details of South Park: The Fractured But Whole’s Season Pass is here and it expands out this world of South Park with new stories and classes

In just a few days the wait for South Park: The Fractured But Whole will be over and we will get to actually play the long-delayed title in our homes. Hopefully, you have pre-ordered the title already and are just waiting for it to finally come to your PS4, Xbox One, or PC. There are some great little extras that Ubisoft has there for us for pre-order, and now it looks like we get to know what will be coming in the Season Pass for the game. Sure, we heard that this South Park title was going to be coming with a Season Pass and breach the “no DLC” policy that the team was well known for. I guess it had to happen at some time so I am guessing it should be worth it.

If you picked up the Gold Edition of South Park: The Fractured But Whole, then know that you will be getting all of this included in your game for no extra cost. If you did not and want to have access to it all, you can drop an extra $29.99 USD to pick it all up or pick and choose which bits of DLC you wish. Seeing as a good portion of it all will not even be out until the end of the year or next year, it could be a good option if you want to make sure you are enjoying The Fractured But Whole first. Although I am sure that hardcore fans of South Park will already be throwing out their cash already. But you have options nonetheless.

Right out the gate, players who have the Season Pass will be getting a nice little costume and perks pack for South Park: The Fractured But Whole with the Towelie DLC coming the following week. Then in December, it looks like we will be getting a Combat Challenge mode added in that will allow us to unlock exclusive costumes and artifacts to be used in the game when we will be playing back through it all again. It sounds like it will be a lot like the X-Men’s Danger Room, hence the name Danger Deck, and will most likely be wave after wave of enemies to fight and level up. All so you can get ready for the next two additions to come in 2018.

In 2018 there will be two new stories added into South Park: The Fractured But Whole with one taking place in the famed Casa Bonita and the other adding in a whole new character class for us to experience. Full details on these bits of DLC content are still to be detailed, but you can see a few screenshots for the Casa Bonita DLC that looks and sounds like the Goth Kids have taken over the restaurant and we will need to “liberate” it from the Goths or Vampires. Given that it is titled “From Dusk To Casa Bonita,” I am going to guess it will be something like the films and shows that share the same name. Time will only tell though.

Season Pass Future Content

  • Danger Deck — Players will have to face the ultimate combat challenge in Doctor Timothy’s Danger Deck. They will be able to unlock exclusive costumes and artifacts. Danger Deck will be available for $5.99 in December 2017.
  • From Dusk till Casa Bonita — A new story where players will team up with The Coon and Mysterion to defeat a demonic presence at Casa Bonita. This content will be available for $11.99 in 2018.
  • Bring the Crunch — Will introduce a new story, including an all new superhero class. It will be available for $11.99 in 2018.

Season Pass Day One Content

  • Relics of Zaron — (costume and perks pack), available for $4.99 on October 17th
  • Towelie: Your Gaming Bud — (in game buddy giving tips), available for $1.99 on October 24th

How do you feel about all of this DLC for South Park: The Fractured But Whole that we will be getting over time? Do you think that it will all truly expand the experience or is it the concession that the team had to make for Ubisoft and their love of DLC and add-on content? How much extra story do you think we will be added into the core game and will it have you coming back for more consistently? Let the world know and then feel free to discuss down in the comments. For all things South Park: The Fractured But Whole, make sure to keep checking back in here. We will have it all as it comes and you will not want to miss out on a single thing.
