Stray Is Going To Be Knocking Over The Xbox Soon

Stray

Two more platforms for Stray are on the way so even more gamers can experience the darkness of Stray

There was a good portion of the gaming community that missed out on the fun of Stray not too long ago. This is the infamous “cat game” that takes place in a cyberpunk future setting that BlueTwelve Studio dropped on the PS4, PS5, and PC a while back. You can now see what part of the gaming community missed out on this. Well, Annapurna Interactive made sure that we all knew that was only going to be short-lived. Now, on August 10th, those on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S will be able to hop in and experience Stray for themselves. Just in case they did not have a different platform already to play this one on.

As it all looks, this version of Stray is going to be about the same as we have already experienced. Maybe some of the recent updates and patches that have come out since its original launch too. In the end, though, this is going to be a version that can play natively on the console and not just with the controller on the PC. This a weird thing to note, since I know most PC gamers still played Stray with an Xbox controller in the first place. That and the game did not require much in terms of power, so even the most basic PC gamer should have already had that chance already. We are not going to knock the game getting out there for more, though.

Stray — Xbox Announcement

Stray is coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on August 10. Also available now on PS5, PS4, and Steam.

Lost, alone, and separated from family, a stray cat must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten cybercity and find their way home.

I will like to speculate that this new release of Stray might signify the fact we could get a follow-up to the story of it all down the line. It did sell well before and this will only add to those sales there. Even though it was more of a gimmicky kind of title, there is no doubt that gamers wanted it. Even with Stray being a basic by-the-numbers platforming title in the end. Not a terrible thing, but not something that would normally get millions of copies sold. It just has that thing of placing a cat in the front and letting the internet o its thing when it comes to cats. For some reason…

Have you been holding out hope to get Stray on the Xbox systems or did you already give it play on the PC with all of the Xbox controls? Could this be leading to a sequel or prequel of sorts from the team and this is just a way to help fund that? Would you want to see this come to the Switch next or has it run its course for now? Crawl on into the comment section below and then feel free to discuss it all as you so wish to do. We will share more for Stray if there is more to share. Please keep an eye on the site for all of those updates and everything else that is in the works over here.
