Street Fighter 6 Shares A Bit Of The New Gameplay To Draw Us In

Street Fighter 6

The Street Fighter IP is expanding more with a look at some new gameplay coming for Street Fighter 6 when the game launches out there

The tease and original announcement for Street Fighter 6 happened not too long ago, but here we are with the better look at what Capcom will be dropping on the PS5 and PC. A better look as in the way to see the basic fighting but also a few of the new gameplay features coming to the game and ways to play. Some of which will completely change how some of us play Street Fighter going forward. By this, I am talking about new controller schemes that will give us the classic ways to play, but another that will offer up easier ways to perform some of the special moves with a simple button press. That should make the bar for entry easier to get over for many out there, even if it did not go over well when other titles tried the same thing.

While new gameplay options and modes are nice for Street Fighter 6, it does seem like there is a bit more going on in the game that is not directly talked about too. This video here makes it look and feel like there is a going to be a very specific story mode too. Not only with cutscenes and the like, but also with our character running around the streets and doing a few things in the mix too. Not something that I ever remember seeing in a Street Fighter title before now, but it seemed to work for other fighting games and maybe it is time that this IP will be trying to use those changes for the better. Have a look and see what could be coming to us all soon.

Your Moment. Your Fight. Stay tuned for more information!

Street Fighter 6 delivers a combo of unique fighting game innovations including:

  • Brand New Game Modes: The Street Fighter franchise continues to hone its skills and redefine the fighting genre with the introduction of three new foundational modes – Fighting Ground, World Tour, and Battle Hub.
  • In-Game Commentating: The Real-Time Commentary Feature incorporates the voices of popular Fighting Game Community (FGC) commentators like Jeremy “Vicious” Lopez and Ryutaro “Aru” Noda directly into the game! Players will have a choice of personalities to narrate matches as they happen with easy-to-understand gameplay explanations. This feature will also support subtitles in 13 languages for increased accessibility.
  • New Control Scheme: The Classic Control Type is back alongside a new option. The Modern Control Type allows players to jump into the action with simplified inputs. Special moves are easier to execute with this scheme by combining one button press with a directional input.
