Street Fighter V’s Final Character Has Entered The Arena

Street Fighter V

The final character for Street Fighter V’s launch line up has been revealed as well as a few other updates on Street Fighter V’s future DLC and post content

That brings us to a wrap on which characters are going to be hitting Street Fighter V at launch as we have F.A.N.G announced and shown off. As expected the character was shown off at the PSX over the weekend by Capcom and add yet another brand new character into the mix of Street Fighter V. He may look a bit quirky and act a bit quirky but he brings the number to 16 now and also comes with a completely new mechanic to the Street Fighter franchise along with his own “newness.”

You can see F.A.N.G in action in the following Street Fighter V trailer for him but what isn’t shown off well is the fact that he employs poisons in his style. Now you can poison your opponents in Street Fighter V and watch as their health meter slowly drains. Looks like all of his shady work with Shadaloo and M. Boson will be paying off although I would argue the reasons would kill fighters in Street Fighter V instead of just lower their hit bar. Semantics though as this isn’t one of those kinds of fighting games.

Street Fighter V — F.A.N.G

In case you have fallen behind on all of the fighters announced for Street Fighter V‘s launch there is also a nice other look at most of them in action just below. Even if it does seem to be a little “off” on things.

Street Fighter V — 16 Launch Characters

On top of F.A.N.G’s reveal for Street Fighter V we also have a nice update on how the post launch content and the first wave of characters to be heading out as well. Just to calm all of those who spotted something in the above video that may look like a “leak,” the list of post content characters that Capcom has confirmed are: Alex, Guile, Ibuki, Balrog, Juri, and Urien. See, not a huge spoiler or leak for Street Fighter V and more of a case of bad editing in the mashing together of characters.

Anyways, as Capcom has been very upfront on not forcing all of us to purchase the future characters of Street Fighter V with real money, we finally have an update on that and how it will work. There will be two forms of currency in Street Fighter V in the way of Fight Money and Zenny. Fight Money is earned by just playing Street Fighter V and can be used to get the new content over time. Zenny is earned by spending $1 USD for every 100 Zenny although there are promotions running that will get you extra Zenny for buying in bulk.

As it goes not there is no “price” placed on characters and costumes for Street Fighter V in terms of Fight Money but it looks like each new character will cost you 600 Zenny and new costumes 400 Zenny. That is where the nickel and diming will come in I guess. Although if you are overly stoked for Street Fighter V you can drop $29.99 USD to pick up the season pass that will include all of the above listed characters and a “premium” costume for each when they finally hit Street Fighter V.

Street Fighter V — Battle Costumes

Now that you’ve seen all of the Street Fighter V characters are you more or less excited for it to release on February 16th of 2016? Does the Fight Money and Zenny system for acquiring new characters and outfits make sense or is it just another scheme to hide micro-transactions? Does the Season Pass for Street Fighter V seem appealing to you? Let us know what you think in the comments below and discuss away. As Capcom gives out more updates on Street Fighter V we will have them here so be sure to keep checking back in as they flow out.
