Submerged
It was announced today that Submerged, a “serene” adventure title from Uppercut Games, is coming to the PS4 now
If you are into serene adventure games then it looks like there is some news moving forward for Submerged. This is the game that was shown off a while back at PAX AU from Uppercut Games. Well back then it was only stated that it was coming to PC, consoles, and mobile devices. We can now add one more confirmed platform here as Submerged is now coming to the PS4 when it finally launches. There is still no word on when that will be but everything so far has been pointing to a 2015 release year so hopefully this will be updated at E3 and we’ll know when Submerged will be surfacing.
This new of course comes right from the PS Blog where Uppercut Games made the announcement and gave us a few more things to look at for Submerged. Really it is only a few new screenshots and the original gameplay trailer updated with the PS4 branding and loss of everything else. So there is really not too much to go on in terms of how Submerged will actually handle out of the box. We just know now that one of those poxes will be for a PS4 case and that is about it. Don’t read this as exclusive, just that Submerged is coming to the PS4 now.
Submerged — Announcement Trailer
Submerged looks a little like Waterworld to me with lest Kevin Costner. It also looks like it will have a better story and hopefully include some fun gameplay elements. There is a lot of talk about exploring this new flooded world and being able to find out what happened but there is no word on how that will play out except for the main character sailing on her boat and searching for supplies. I just hope that the brother here in Submerged doesn’t make for a lot of companion quests and needs. Gods I despise those as they are always forced and make no real sense other than to add gameplay.
What are your thoughts on Submerged? Was it any shock that it would be gracing the PS4 here? Are you excited to see what some of those ex-Irrational Games employees have been up to down under? Let us know down in the comments. Just make sure they flow in the correct direction…
