Take To The Streets This Coming November In Robocop: Rogue City

Robocop: Rogue City

The date that Robocop will be back on patrol is now set as we see more of the man and machine in Robocop: Rogue City

Those waiting to get out there and clean up some of the streets in Old Detroit are going to get that itch scratched soon with the release date for Robocop: Rogue City set down. It may have been a rough road for Teyon to get to the point we are going to see the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, but we are in the final stretch of it all. More so, now that we have the release date set as November 2nd of this year. That Robocop itch is going to get scratched all too well here now. All so we can head out as part man and part machine to clean up these crime-ridden streets of the world. Well, more Detroit, but you hopefully knew what I was going for here.

In addition to the release date being set for Robocop: Rogue City, we now have a trailer to look at to further the story we are going to get in the game. A story that feels like it is going to be a retelling of what we already knew, just with a little more in the mix to fill in some of the gaps. That and to give us something more to play in the game instead of just watching the original films again instead. Not a terrible plan and it looks as if we are getting some other great build-ups that happened off-screen too for Robocop. Not to mention the fact that we might get to dive deeper into some of the philosophy that was hidden in the original story of it all too. Have a look and see what is coming to us all soon.

Robocop: Rogue City — Part Man, Part Machine

Only RoboCop can clean up the crime-ridden streets of Old Detroit!

Follow the part man, part machine in this gameplay trailer combining detective work and gory shoot-outs. Reinforcements arrive on November 2, 2023!

It has been a while since I have watched the original Robocop films, but it does feel as if there is more of that story here than anything. Granted, this trailer feels like it is leaning more into the nostalgia of the IP instead of what new elements the developers are bringing to us in the mix. A great way to keep that side of the story obfuscated a bit more while showing us more for Robocop: Rogue City. Especially as we see the visuals shift between the original grainy versions and the newer HD versions of things. A fun little trick that did not go unappreciated on my end. Have another look and see if you can spot all of that in there too.

Do you have a soft spot for the original Robocop stuff out there or will you need to play catch-up on all of that before this release? Do you think that it was set for November due to all of the other video games dropping in October or is this just the way it was going to be planned? Will we have new modes in the game that give us that 80s feel to the visuals or will that be hoping for too much from a smaller team as we have here? Fight your way into the comments and then let the world know what is on your mind for all of this. We are going to have a lot more for Robocop: Rogue City as we get closer to the release, so please keep on checking in for those updates and many, many more.
