Tekken 8
The ultimate edition for Tekken 8 is ready for us to pick up as we get Shaheen back into the Tekken IP once more
Well look at that, we are just over a month out from Tekken 8 hitting the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with even more characters getting announced here. January 26th is not far off and here we go with a showing of Shaheen coming back into the fight and offering up another style of fighting. Not only that but Bandai Namco is offering a look at the bigger version of Tekken 8 that can be picked up if we want to throw down some extra money on it all. If you are into getting a whole lot of digital extras for your game instead of anything tangible for the raised price. Let us all have a look at what is here for us now.
First, we have Shaheen to look at as one of the newer characters to be an alumnus of the Tekken IP. It was just one major title ago that we had this character joining into the fight offering some further diversity into the game with some Middle Eastern fighting to the mix. All while keeping the character feeling the same as in Tekken 7 but also giving us the upgraded feeling that this game should be doing with all characters. Even if it all boils down to the same kicking, punching, and flipping that we have seen a few times over already. Something that I do not believe is based on the core fighting style of the land, but something that feels right at home in the IP here. Have a look and see if you are excited to have Shaheen back in action.

We all knew something like this was going to be coming for Tekken 8, but it still feels a little scummy to do. While it does make sense that they will want to keep the game going for as long as possible, it always feels like there is some kind of paywall in place to get the full game now. More so when you see that you are only getting all digital items for the raised cost and nothing that can be held in your hand. Sure, many that will be playing Tekken 8 will be okay getting all of the characters that they can, but what happens when you cannot access the game anymore and you need to move on? The memories of the games played will fade or you will lose access to everything down the line and then feel like you flushed money away. I guess I am getting at, can we please stop forcing gamers to pay more for digital assets they will never truly own ever again?
Are you going to get the Ultimate Edition for Tekken 8 or will you pay as you go instead? How many years of content will there be before they give us another title we have to buy piece by piece? Would you like to have something physical for this extra cost, or will you be okay knowing that if your internet is down, you will not have access to play some of this at home? Take to the comments to discuss all of this and everything else we have to offer up. There should be more to come for Tekken 8, and we will have it all here. Please keep checking back for all of those updates and many more as we head into the new year.
