The Exorcist: Legion VR
A new VR experience in The Exorcist universe is almost here as we know when The Exorcist: Legion VR will be hitting the Oculus, HTC Vive, and PSVR
It looks like we can add another huge horror franchise to the list of VR titles out there as The Exorcist: Legion VR is coming to us all on November 22nd to carry on all of the prophecies that were laid out in the lore. Well at least it is coming to the PC on the HTC Vive and Oculus as Fun Train and Wolf & Wood have not given a release date for the PS VR, but none the less we are getting a nice and creepy extension to The Exorcist III. Nonetheless, the game is coming to us and it looks like it will add to the “the scariest franchise” in horror movie history. At least for those who have a fear of the Christian Mythology and such. That is something needed to get the true fright.
Anyways, The Exorcist: Legion VR will be an episodic VR adventure with the first two chapters dropping on the above date. The story will put us in the role of a detective looking into the death of the priest from the main story while all of the daemons promised to come do just that. Each new chapter revolving around yet another daemon all leading up to something that deals with The Exorcist‘s Pazuzu and giving us all a nice little closing loop for the story. I am going to guess it will not end the franchise, but it will give some closure to it all. At least that is the assumption based on how the franchise is still kicking around and I doubt they would have a small VR title truly end it all.
Have a look at the trailers for the first two chapters of The Exorcist: Legion VR that will be dropping just before Black Friday but will be getting in on the deals. That is, they will be 30% reduced in price for the shopping days and to get more people trying it all out. Seems fitting and since it looks pretty intense, I have a feeling it will be oddly added into all of those VR wishlists for the Christmas holiday. Which tickles me just a bit more…
