A new set of challenges for Hitman are coming as we are forced to wait a bit longer for the teased Elusive Targets that were supposed to hit Hitman already
By now you have most likely burned through all of the main missions in Hitman and have been dabbling in the Escalation Contracts and waiting for those Elusive Targets to show up. This is the main bit of content that will help hold us all over as Io Interactive wraps up the next “episode” for April. Sadly though it looks like the wait is going to be even longer for the Elusive Targets as they have been delayed until around the time of the second episode’s release but that doesn’t mean that Square Enix isn’t trying to get us more Hitman in the meantime.
First up it looks like we are getting a whole new challenge tree for Hitman based around the community’s love of the Vampire Magician costume that can be found in the Paris mission. There has already been one Escalation Contract even built around it specifically. Now it looks like we will be getting more as the Vampire Magician Challenge Pack has been announced and dropping sometime when the next major Hitman update comes. That mean this will all be free for those thinking it is a paid DLC. It will just have us all wandering about killing more people with the main requirement being that we are in said costume.
As a further way to keep us going until the next episode of Hitman comes out and the above mentioned Challenge Pack, it looks like two more Escalation Missions have been added into the mix as well. These are something that are supposed to keep flowing out constantly but so far this will make a total of five. Seeing as Square Enix is making this a bigger deal it almost seems like Escalation Contacts are more than just a quick update and going to be a means to make us forget about the wait between episodes and all of the other items that were also supposed to flow out.
Here’s a quick description of the two new Escalation Contracts that should already be available in Hitman right now.
- The Osterman Mosaic — You’ll be using the sabre to eliminate one of your targets. On top of that, you’ll need to be quick to hide bodies, avoid some extreme security measures and take down an additional target – and you’ll need to do all of that fairly quickly.
- The Gemini Fiasco — Helmut Kruger is involved in this Escalation, which includes a variety of different objectives and complications that will consistently force you to figure out a new approach. You’ll need poison and good knowledge of where security cameras are to complete this one efficiently.
