The release for The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners on the PSVR has snuck up on those looking for another trip into the world of The Walking Dead
It has been a good clip of time since we heard anything from The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners after it hit the PC VR platforms in January. The launch came and went with mixed reviews and word from Skydance Interactive that the game was still heading to the PSVR platform for PS4 owners to enjoy in Q1 of this year. Well, that quarter has come and gone and even the latest season of The Walking Dead had mostly premiered with no sight of this title making it over there. That is, and you guessed it, until now as the game is currently out there for those looking for a different apocalypse to survive. That one is virtual and you can leave it when you wish while we all still look for a way to unplug from this horrible one in the “real world.”
All joking aside, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is out there as you are reading this on the new platform. It looks like the game is going to be holding up the same look and feel from the PC version and will obviously be using the PS Move controllers to get us around the world. None of which is shocking here. It is just odd that they went with such a quiet release and lead up to now. One could say there was a bit of meta-joke there with silence being key in the world of The Walking Dead, but I have a feeling that they were holding it until they knew it could get out there. They have a captive audience right now and it is a great time to give an escape. I will not knock it, but it just seems a bit off. Time to fire up that PSVR now.
