Metro Exodus
A new trailer for Metro Exodus has released from Gamescom to show us how much darker the world of Metro can get as we travel above ground
As if the horrors of walking around in the world of Metro Exodus were not enough, we have even more to look out for and the latest trailer from Gamescom nails this home a bit more. So far from what 4A Games has shown the world for the game, it has not been too bleak or dark. At least in terms of more than what we already have been getting in the franchise thus far. It has already been pretty dark. If you have a look at the latest trailer for Metro Exodus, though, it looks like Deep Silver has only opted to share the basics with us and there will be much more to drive us to fear within the game on February 22nd. That is at least the feeling I have here and we will truly see soon.
Anyone who has played a Metro game already should be used to the dark and claustrophobic areas in the game. It looks like those will also be making a huge comeback, on top of the open-ish world, and will be bringing with it a whole new set of horrors to deal with. Radiated wolves, bears, and some form of crustacean known as ‘Shrimp’ have also been shown off here to stalk Artyom and crew. If not stalk, at least try to kill and eat. Just more horrors to be on the lookout for in Metro Exodus and I am sure they will not stop just there. Have a look and see.
Metro Exodus — Gamescom 2018 Trailer
Thousands of kilometers from the ruins of Moscow, Artyom and his companions discover what seems like paradise — a lush, green valley, teeming with life.
But if their years in the Metro have taught them one thing, it is this:
The night brings terror.
And here, terror has a new face…
I would also like to point out here that Metro Exodus looks even better here in this new footage than before. This could be part of the fact that this is a ‘sizzle’ video to get us all excited for the game, but I also like to think that it is showing of the peak performance of the game as we have seen what 4A Games is aiming for in past videos. I am sure it will be something mostly visible for gamers on the PC, but it does look spectacular in terms of realism. At least as real as the world of Metro Exodus can be. At least if we do not look at how far off we may be in the real world.
What say you about the “darkness” factor we have here for Metro Exodus? Do you think it will make for a more frightening game given all of this or will it just be more monsters, more problems? Do you agree that this will be the high-end specs for a PC gamer to see or will it be par for the course for all who pick up the game and play it on day one? Let us know what you are thinking down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. We will have more for Metro Exodus in due time and you will want to see it all. Just stick close to the site for all of that and you should not be let down.
