Evolve
Turtle Rock has released the first bit of gameplay for Evolve’s new hunters and monster coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 31st
We had our first look at Evolve‘s new hunters last week. These would be the new one for each class. We’ve also heard about the fourth monster that will be gracing Evolve with its massive size and extra abilities. All of which will be available on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 31st. What we have yet to see or hear are any of these new characters and creatures in action during a match of Evolve. As you guessed it; that is until now as Turtle Rock Studios has given us our first short match showing the four new hunters face off against the new monster. All for our entertainment.
I do say short match for Evolve as the hunters are able to take down the Behemoth here pretty damn quick given the fact that it is supposed to be the beefiest of the four monsters. This could have also been because they didn’t want the video to go on for 30 minutes as matches usually tend to do. At least they do when I play Evolve. This could also be because of the Trapper being able to bypass armor and the Medic having the ability to leech health from the monster to speed up the cool-down for the healing burst. All kinds of getting around all of that precious armor that the monster needs to survive in any match.
Evolve — Behemoth And New Hunters
After seeing these new hunters in full action for Evolve I am kind of curious why anyone would be using the previous hunters. The Trapper can spot ALL creatures with his companion. The Assault can place his own weak-spots on the monster and no longer needs the Medic to do that. Not to mention that the Medic can now be an assault-like hunter and actually do well. Then you have the support that no longer needs to manually generate shields… Who needs the other hunters now? Maybe I am just looking into this too much but I can see using them more and more once I have them unlocked in my Evolve game. Finally all classes seem playable to me.
What do you think after seeing the latest Evolve hunters and monster in action? Do you agree with me or do you still see merit in the previous characters? Do you think the Behemoth even had a chance in the above Evolve match? Note all of your thoughts down in the comments here so other hunters can use them when they head back into Shear.
