A new story trailer for Vampyr is here and dives into a different side of the story for Vampyr that we have yet to hear or explore
Add another story trailer to the list for Vampyr as we have just that for you now. Not that I do not enjoy getting more and more for the game, but I just do not want DontNod to show off all of the inner workings of it before it hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on June 5th. I am sure that we are going to be safe on that, but we have another good look at the game’s story again. This time it does seem to focus a bit more on the darker aspects of Vampyr and not just the general goings on in the game’s world. At least as I see it for now. Maybe Focus Home Interactive is trying to show something more than just that.
Anyways, the new story trailer for Vampyr here gives us a look at more of the vampiric side of the story and what some of that will mean in the game. It also alludes to vampirism or the protagonist being part of the reason for the Spanish Flu epidemic going on in the game’s background. I have a feeling that this is going to be more along the lines of the superstition and blaming the unknown that generally goes on in stories like this, but it could be a huge sticking point in Vampyr. Especially if that is the core reason that the hunters are out there en masse hunting you and others like you down. It could also just be more hype to keep the game on our radars in the mix of all of the other huge games coming out.

If anything, it will serve as another great look at the game that is coming and what we should all be getting ready for in the coming months. June will be here faster than we can imagine…
Vampyr — Story Trailer
Vampyr, the upcoming action-RPG from Dontnod Entertainment, will release June 5 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game’s wider narrative arcs are unveiled today in a captivating Story Trailer, brought together with an eerie cover of (Don’t Fear) the Reaper. Returning from the frontlines to a London devastated by war and disease, Dr. Jonathan Reid awakens to a once-hidden world of ungodly creatures, secret societies and vampire hunts.
In Vampyr, you play as Jonathan Reid, a doctor in 1918 London newly-turned into a vampire following his return from the Great War. His convictions blown away, Reid discovers the existence of a dark new world where supernatural creatures and secret societies live together in the shadows… and he is now part of this world.
As a newborn vampire shattered by an irrepressible thirst of blood and thrust into a strange new world, Reid attempts to interpret the supernatural in the best way he knows how: rational thinking. However, between ancient societies, mysterious murders and an imminent large-scale vampire hunt, his scientific assurances are challenged like never before. Driven by a personal desire to learn who caused his transformation and why, Jonathan Reid continues working to find a cure to the devastating disease that decimates its citizens.
But doing so, he must confront his nature as a blood-drinker and the terrible temptation to feed on those he swore to protect…
