Uncharted Gives Us More To Search For Before It Releases

Uncharted Gives Us More To Search For Before It Releases

A new trailer for the Uncharted film is here to give us another showing on how it will deviate from the Uncharted games

It is time for a little bit of an early Christmas present out there, as we have a new trailer for the upcoming Uncharted film to watch and get us ready for February 18th. Something that seemed to come out of the blue for us all, but it is still a nice new bit to take in as we settle down for the long break we normally have here. Not to mention something else to look at to see how the film will stick to the story that Naughty Dog made before and how it will deviate from the Uncharted source of it all. Just as most video game film adaptations normally do here. We are no longer the ones in control and are experiencing someone else’s version of it all, so it will always feel different. Even if it does feel like they are trying to pay homage to the main story that so many have been fans of for years now.

Weirdly, the Uncharted movie looks like it is going to try to take on the story of the fourth game more than anything here in the new trailer. Including, and most likely bringing in, Nathan’s brother Sam for part of the adventure. It does include a scene that feels just like the one in Uncharted 4 that we have just before the big save that Sam undertakes. All to give us more of the over-the-top action that makes little sense in a real-world setting but is just the right place in a world like this one. I mean, why would you risk flying through low mountains with your cargo when you could simply go up? I guess so the action of the film can happen is the best answer here. Even if it does risk damaging all of the old ships that might barely survive a smooth flight back to wherever they are going. Have a look and I will stop harshing on the logic of it all for now.

Uncharted — Trailer 2

The race for the greatest treasure is on… if they can survive each other first. Watch the trailer for Uncharted, exclusively in movie theaters February 18.

Street-smart thief Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a fortune lost by Ferdinand Magellan 500 years ago. What starts as a heist job for the duo becomes a globe-trotting, white-knuckle race to reach the prize before the ruthless Moncada (Antonio Banderas), who believes he and his family are the rightful heirs. If Nate and Sully can decipher the clues and solve one of the world’s oldest mysteries, they stand to find $5 billion in treasure and perhaps even Nate’s long-lost brother…but only if they can learn to work together.

Are you more or less excited to see Uncharted come to the big screen here? Do you agree that it seems odd to have the action set up this way or will it all be to give the audience more of a spectacle than it should be? Will we see a full version of Sam by the end of the film or will it be in just the photos that Nathan is carrying around? Let us all know what you are thinking down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all if you so wish. If there is more for Uncharted, know we will share it all here. Just keep coming back to the site to see and hear about all of it as we head toward the film’s release and maybe a new title out there.
