Vampire: The Masquerade — Swansong

The gameplay for Vampire: The Masquerade — Swansong is finally here to show us how we will experience this new Vampire story

There have been a few showings of smaller gameplay segments for Vampire: The Masquerade — Swansong from Big Bad Wolf since it was announced, but here we are with the next massive information dump for the game. Given that it is still slated to hit the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC on May 19th, I would say it is about high time to see the game in more of a motion than we have had. That is what we have to look at now as our vampire hits the streets to try to solve the mystery of who attacked the Prince of the city. That being the head vampire in the area for those not up on their World Of Darkness lingo.

Those familiar with the IP and the video games that used the Vampire: The Masquerade IP before now, looking at Bloodlines here, then you are going to be off to a great start for all of this. That characters and dialog feel like it would be perfectly in place there but with a Boston overlay. It does look like it will be more on the choose your own story side of that game and not as much of the free combat we have had in other vampire games. Then again, we are supposed to take these three on a journey that is more on the investigation side of things and not the action side. There is that pesky Masquerade we have to uphold to find out who did attack the prince.

Vampire: The Masquerade — Swansong — Gameplay Reveal

When a surprise attack throws the vampires of Boston into Chaos, with countless dead or missing, the Prince turns to those she can trust, Galeb, Leysha, and Emem.

It will take their combined skills to find out the cause of the attack. Investigate, question, and above all, protect the Masquerade. Make choices that will define the future of Boston in Vampire: The Masquerade — Swansong coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Epic Games Store on May 19th.

Were you expecting something closer to the other vampire games we have had recently or will this slide right in perfectly? Are you curious why all of the characters in the game look like they have no eyelids or are always wide-eyed? What do you think about the way some of the powers are used here and do you like that we will have a bit more of the espionage in the mix of it all? Give us all of that feedback down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. More for Vampire: The Masquerade — Swansong will be coming, so be sure to keep checking back in for all of that. We will try not to let anyone down.
