Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Asks The Teams To Heed The Call

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

New footage of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s multiplayer is out to ask us all to squad up in Warhammer 40,000

We have seen the single-player aspect of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 many times over up to now, and it is now time for us to dig into the multiplayer aspect of the game. Not with a beta test or anything, before you get too excited, but with a nice and long bit of gameplay from Saber Interactive to help highlight what we will be doing in the game when we squad up and heed the call to kill the Xenos. One of the bigger aspects that I am sure is the draw for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and has everyone clamoring for the September 9th release on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Let us all have a look and see if it is going to be living up to what you had in your head or if it is exceeding all of those expectations at this point.

This new showcasing for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 digs further into two of the gameplay modes we are going to have under the multiplayer banner in the game. The Operations and Eternal War modes. Operations, as you will see, will have us teaming up with three players and taking on missions where the world and AI enemies are trying to end all of our lives. Then we see the Eternal War for Warhammer 40,000 that will place us in a bunch of PvP in the game where we will need to select one of six classes and assault the other team in the world. All based around the various factions that exist in the lore of the universe. All of which to unlock more weapons, armor, and various other customization options that the IP has come to offer up to us all. You can have a look at this long bit of gameplay just a bit lower and then wait the next month to get to experience it all for yourself.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 — Extended Multiplayer Gameplay

A month before its release, Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive premiered a new trailer for the highly-anticipated third-person action game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. This seven-minute extended multiplayer gameplay video shows off the game’s Operations (PvE) and Eternal War (PvP) modes in action for the first time since their reveal at the Warhammer Skulls Festival in May. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store on September 9 and will be playable as soon as September 5 for those who pre-order the Gold or Ultra Edition!

Fight With Your Friends… Or Against Them!

Whether playing in Operations (PvE) or Eternal War (PvP), you’ll choose one of six playable classes (Tactical, Assault, Vanguard, Bulwark, Sniper, and Heavy) and earn Armoury Data and Requisition Points to spend on your Space Marine’s appearance through the game’s deep customization system. You can either unlock the game’s many Chapter presets, or create your own custom Chapters by piecing together individual cosmetic items, be it armor or weapon skins! The more you play, the more cosmetics you will earn!

More Missions, Enemies & Weapons To Release Through Free Updates

Following the release on September 9, Space Marine 2 players will receive new “Operations” missions, PvP maps, enemies, and weapons through regular free updates available to all. In addition to this free content, Season Pass owners will be granted additional cosmetics and Chapter heraldry through seasonal, themed DLC celebrating the many fan-favorite factions of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. More details will be shared very soon.

Heed the call of battle when Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 launches Sept. 9, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Does all of this flow as you would expect for a Warhammer 40,000 title or is it something different for you? Will the skins and other cosmetics be the bigger draw for you or will it all be about playing with your friends? Would you have liked to have a closed beta of sorts to test all of this out or will the surprise be worth it when the game fully lands out there? Head down to the comment section to discuss all of this and everything else we have to muster up for you. More is on the way for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, so please keep on checking on the site for all of that. A whole lot can happen in the matter of a month and we are interested to see how that all pans out with you.
