It looks like We Happy Few has been pushed out a bit further but all of the content for We Happy Few has been complete and aiming for a full release

The wait for We Happy Few continues as it looks like it has been pushed out further from its April 2018 release window. Now we can look to see the game land on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime this Summer. That is as long as Compulsion Games does not have any other issues or need to push the full release out even further. It has been a four-year ride with We Happy Few and it needs to come to a final end here soon. At least one would think, but maybe we are in a world where it is cool to keep gamers waiting for their games for an undetermined amount of time. That sure seems the case as of late with all kinds of video games out there.

You may be wondering at this point, just why has We Happy Few been pushed out further? The good news is that the team has completed work on all of the game’s content and found a few things that needed to be changed to make it the best experience as possible. This included a big change up to the first few hours of Arthur’s story and such that have been moved around and shaken up to make it all flow better. I would also venture that this also goes hand in hand with the submission process for the console version of We Happy Few and needing extra time to get through all of that. There is light at the end of the tunnel though and it currently is not too far off.

We Happy Few is now content complete, and the team is taking more time to polish following some major improvements to the beginning of Arthur’s storyline. As such, We Happy Few will now release in Summer 2018 for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.

“There are these moments that are memorable, very funny, and super weird and we’re really excited to show you all,” says Sam Abbott, Producer at Compulsion Games. “But we felt that the first two hours of Arthur’s story just didn’t live up to those moments, meaning that the game didn’t start as well as it should. So we went back to the drawing board and made a couple of big decisions: we brought forward a number of story moments, to get into the action faster, and also rebuilt the whole first island for Arthur.”

Has the wait for We Happy Few turned you off to giving the game a chance or has it only heightened the anticipation for the final game?
