Get welcomed further into the Gothic 1 Remake with a long look at what has been upgraded & changed since the original Gothic release
The wait for the Gothic 1 Remake is still going and there does not seem to be a release date set down for the game as of yet. That would be the bad news we have out of all of this. The good news, though, is that during the latest THQ Nordic showcase that went down, Alkimia Interactive brought a whole lot of new gameplay to show us and to compare to the original version of Gothic out there from decades ago. All to better show off why we need this newer version of the game in our lives and that we need to head back out to the colony out there in the virtual space. With that all said, let us look at just what will be coming on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC when it is ready to launch out there.
While not done in a traditional side-by-side comparison video we might have been used to from before, here we get to see how the original Gothic looks next to the one built in the Unreal 5 Engine. A night and day difference, for sure. Along with that is a look at how the game has been optimized and altered to make sure combat, exploration, and crafting now live up to what gamers demand in their video games now. Gothic did also drop during a time when the hardware could not keep up with the demand, so it is nice to see that they are taking all of that into account for it all too. Even if I do not think having an expanded crafting system was truly needed for this one. that or being able to fully explore the world as we see fit was something that is truly an RPG element…
