Darksiders III
Two new bits of DLC for Darksiders III have been confirmed and we can look forward to diving into Darksiders III’s serpent holes
The curtain has been pulled back a bit more for Darksiders III as we now have word on two bits of DLC heading to the game post-launch. Why Gunfire Games will not be able to get them in before November 27th is still to be a mystery, but now we know there will be more for the game once you have played and beaten the core experience. I just hope that nothing opts to overshadow Darksiders III after launch to make anyone forget to go back and experience the extras that are now coming. So many other things will dictate that, but for now, we can sit back and now they are coming.
In terms of what they are, we have the first called The Crucible. It sounds like it could be one thing or another, but it will add a waved combat challenge to Darksiders III. That is, Fury will enter into an area and need to take down waves of enemies to progress and unlock all kinds of fun extras along the way. Then we have the Keepers Of The Void that will have Vulgrim of past Darksiders fame task us to enter into Serpent Holes to clear them out of a few ancient threats. All so we can unlock the Abyssal Armor for Fury to use in the game. Not a bad deal, but it sounds like something we could use during the main game more than after.
THQ Nordic and Gunfire Games today confirmed that they will release two, separate DLC’s following the November 27th launch of Darksiders III. Players can look forward to new playable areas featuring new challenges, puzzles, items and enemies in The Crucible and Keepers of the Void.
The Crucible
Fury’s presence has been requested by a strange entity wishing to test her skills in battle. Never one to back down from a challenge, Fury accepts the invitation and gains access to a location known only as the Crucible. Here Fury will fight wave after wave of enemies, competing for a chance to unlock new rewards and items.
Keepers of the Void
On a quest from Vulgrim, Fury must travel into the Serpent Holes to remove an ancient threat that resides there. The Serpent Holes are riddled with new puzzles and enemies eager to test Fury’s abilities. If Fury prevails, she will unlock all-new weapon from the Hollows, as well as the biggest prize of them all: The Abyssal Armor.
What do you think about these two new bits announced for Darksiders III here? DO you think that they will be free add-ons or paid DLC for fans to pick up? How powerful do you think this new armor set will be and will it drive you to play a New Game+ mode to experience it fully? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. If there is more to share for Darksiders III, we will share it here. Just be sure to keep checking for all of that as time marches on.
