Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Heart Of The Forest
The next developer diary for Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Heart Of The Forest is here to give insight on how this Werewolf story will be in the World of Darkness
Most titles in Werewolf: The Apocalypse, or the World of Darkness in general, are usually set somewhere in the North American area of the world with history only touching the rest of the world out there. It is something that feels like it has always been this way with the rest of the world only watching as primarily the United States gets the big highlight. It is a WORLD Of Darkness, though, and it looks like this is part of the story that Different Tales is going for in Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Heart Of The Forest. That is a bit more of the explanation here in the latest developer diary for the game that we have before its coming launch on PC.
I will say that it is nice to learn that we are going to see a different part of the world when it comes to the Werewolf setting, as it is usually themed around a Native American thing here in the States and it is supposed to be all over the world things are going on. It is nice to hear we will also be seeing more of a real-world incident that is inspiring some of the in-game events to so we have a bit more of a grounded feel to it all. The only weird thing here is that we are going to be seeing it all through the lens of a werewolf that is heading to their ancestral homeland but still starting in North America. It will be a nice change to see the rest of the world, but I think it could have been a bit more fun to have it completely from a non-American view for once.
