You Have To Hold That Fart Longer As South Park: The Fractured But Whole Is Delayed

South Park: The Fractured But Whole

It looks like South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been delayed a bit as this new South Park games is now set for 2017

Here we go with yet another sad bit of news as it looks like South Park: The Fractured But Whole will no longer be hitting that December 6th date that we were given back at E3. It’s odd as it did seem like Ubisoft was so certain that they were going to be able to hit this date only a few weeks ago during Gamescom but that just isn’t the case anymore. In fact there is no news on when South Park: The Fractured But Whole will be hitting the PS4, Xbox One, and PC outside of early 2017. Hopefully that means January or February but we’ll have to wait and see.

What is curious here though is that there isn’t even the usual excuse for the delay here that we normally get. That being “more polish” in case you were wondering. But even in the official release below there isn’t anything listed outside of making sure that The Fractured But Whole is able to live up to the expectations we all have based on The Stick Of Truth. Yes that is a lot to live up to but from just the basics we have seen for the game so far they are already hitting that and going beyond. Why so secretive and such? Especially with a possible three to four month delay.

Personally I am hoping that this is to add more great content to South Park: The Fractured But Whole based on the new season that just started. I know we’ve seen items up to last season but given that the team has been taking to writing bigger story arcs in the show, maybe Ubisoft saw something that needed to be added in and the extra time is needed for that. I guess we’ll find out sooner or later as the game hasn’t been cancelled or delayed for a year or anything. It does also give them more time to market and show us what each of the hero types can do in the game. So here’s hoping.
