You Might Have A Chance To Soon Play A Bit Of Elden Ring

Elden Ring

A closed test for Elden Ring is on the way and you can sign up to give this version of Elden Ring quite a bit earlier

I know there is a whole lot of you out there that are hyped up for the release of Elden Ring on February 25th 2022, but there is some new news that will get you hyped up even more now. Like the fact that From Software will be letting some of you out there experience the game quite a bit earlier than expected. How would you like to be able to play part of Elden Ring as soon as November 12th? Well, that is what we are letting you know here with the announcement that the team over there and Bandai Namco are getting things set up for that to happen with a closed network test of the game on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. All with minimal hoops to jump through too.

This all sounds like it will be more of a server test for Elden Ring than any kind of beta test that many are used to out there. Even if most of those are more like demos than a true test of sorts. This one does require those interested to sign up over on their website and hope to be selected in. If you are, though, you will be offered up the various chances to dive into Elden Ring to help play with the online portion of the game and experience the opening hours of it all. Given that we will get to see this multiple times through normal playthrough, it does not feel like it could spoil too much but instead give us all a little bit of a leg up when it comes to surviving the world at launch.

Elden Ring — Closed Network Test Announcement

Elden Ring, the grand fantasy Action-RPG developed by From Software and produced by Bandai Namco will be playable in a Closed Network Test planned on November 12th.

Selected fans will be able to experience the opening hours of the long-awaited title to get a hands-on glimpse at what the full game will have to offer while assisting the development team in testing the game’s online servers ahead of its release date.

The depth of the game and the degree of freedom in strategy exceeded the initial expectations, hence it has been decided to extend the development time for final adjustments thus moving the release date to February 25, 2022.

The Elden Ring Closed Network Test will be playable throughout the weekend of November 12-15th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S during the following time periods:

  • November 12: 12:00 to 15:00 CET
  • November 13: 4:00 to 7:00 CET
  • November 13: 20:00 to 23:00 CET
  • November 14: 12:00 to 15:00 CET
  • November 15: 4:00 to 7:00 CET

Are you going to try to get in on this test for Elden Ring or will you let the others out there do it for you? How far into the game do you think it will truly go or will you only have the few hours a day to try to dive deep in with the full game? How much do you think this will change the game or will it just be something to help balance out the servers for them and then go no further than that? Tell us all of your thoughts on this down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. If we have more to experience for Elden Ring, know that we will share it all here. Just be sure to keep checking back in for all of that and much more as we get closer to the dates.
