Zangief Is Also Returning For Street Fighter V

Street Fighter V

Looks like Street Fighter V is also bringing Zangief into the mix again as he is the latest character shown off for the Street Fighter V roster

Mark another “not a big surprise” character down to join Street Fighter V as it has been announced and shown off that Zangief will again be fighting for Mother Russia when the game launches early next year. Seeing as he has been in almost every version of Street Fighter to date it, like I said, is not shocking that Capcom will be bringing him. Thankfully though it does look like they have altered his moves somewhat to make him feel new on the PS4 and PC. They have the chance so I don’t know why they wouldn’t take it.

There shouldn’t be the need to go into Zangief’s history to prep you for his role in Street Fighter V though. It looks like all of the Russian, Wrestler, and body builder are left intact for him and only some of the moves have been upgraded to fit the new game. You can of course see all of this below in the latest reveal trailer for Street Fighter V. There really isn’t much more to say as even his V-Trigger V-Skill are better shown here than described. It really all comes down to Capcom wanting us to know Street Fighter V will have Zangief.

Tell me if you see anything else besides up-keeping the character to Street Fighter V in the below trailer. I’m not as hardcore of a fan as many but I still see the good, old, same Zangief just for the next generation…
