A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week
The week has finally dragged itself over the finish line here, and we did end with a rather solid bit for all of our video games. #TheGameAwards usually does that since the powers that be helped to kill any of the usual conferences we used to have for their own glorification. Ignoring that, we did have a big update for #RERequiem, #ShesLeaving, and #InvincibleVS out there. Along with many other video games that were not as big as the others, but still worth the time and effort from all of us. Just because they do not have all of the power behind them as the AAA, does not mean we should not give them all a highlight. Then, maybe we can all stop complaining about getting the same thing over and over.

Gear up for another zombie game with John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, as the #ToxicCommando will be out there next March
Adding to the ever-growing list of video games that were given a release date during #TheGameAwards this year, we can now add John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando. Yet another fucking #zombie shooting game, but from the masters who know how to do it. I mean, we have one of the names right there in the title of the game, and then you can just look up what Saber Interactive has done with the undead for a while now. All to give us this new co-op shooter with all the grime and action of the ’80s. As long as we are still able to hit the mark of March 12th, when Focus Entertainment is gearing to bring the game to the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC. Given how long we have been shambling for this one, I have faith that we will get to that release date without much of an issue. Unless the world does come to an end out there instead.

Another character joins the roster for Invincible VS, as we also find out when all of these #Invincible characters will be fighting
The news keeps on pouring out from #TheGameAwards, and this new bit for #InvincibleVS packs a one-two punch for those looking forward to the fighting game. One punch coming from a new character that Quarter Up has ready to put into the fight. All to be hit with the second punch that Skybound Games is getting Invincible VS ready to land on the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC this coming April 30th. As long as everything keeps on going as planned out there, at least. Things can and do change often, but for now, that is the release date we have. Now, let us have a look at the new elemental fighter we have joining the other 18 fighters in the mix. Get ready for another fun pun to go with it…

A blast from the Resident Evil of the past will be out there in the action of the upcoming #RERequiem
When it comes to keeping secrets, it feels as if Capcom just cannot keep things under wraps, as #TheGameAwards confirmed the rumor that Leon was going to be in #ResidentEvil #Requiem. Not just in the game when it launches on February 27th for the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, #Switch2, and #PC, but he will be one of the main characters we will need to play in the game. Yes, Resident Evil Requiem will have the dual protagonist system that we have seen in a few of the games from the past. All to give us a bit of an intertwining story along the way and fill in parts that Grace would not be able to handle. There also seems to be a good reason for that, and not just “video game logic.” That is the more interesting part of this announcement, and look that we have at the game out of the show. Let us dig in.

The release date for GHOST CAM is now set, and we will have another reason to place the VR headsets on when #GHOSTCAM is live
Given that many might be getting a new #VR headset out there during the holiday season, it looks like it was a good call to offer up GHOST CAM shortly after all of that. At least if that was the reasoning behind the release date, we now have for the game from Arch Rebels. It could all just be coincidence and just when the ghost hunting title is going to be ready, but GHOST CAM will be heading to the #PC VR headsets on January 19th, 2026. Just after all of the hype dies down for the new hardware, users have had a chance to get better acquainted with it all. Maybe that will help them take better photos and find all of the strange horrors in the virtual space.

Learn more about some souls in UN:Me, a new title announced that will have us all question just what might be going on in #UNMe
It seems as if we are on a Japanese horror theme today, as we have another title getting the announcement with UN:Me. A new title from historia and Shueisha Games that is heading to the #PC. All well and good. The fun little twist on this mind-bending, third-person, slight horror experience is that we are going to have many souls inhabiting our protagonist. One where that little issue needs to be corrected. Which is why I’m assuming that the game is called UN:Me. As we will need to figure things out for the four different souls in the body, sadly, with some dark twists along the way, and all leading to a very dark conclusion. Only one of them can carry onward…

A new horror title, Silent Road, has been announced with #SilentRoad having us drive a very dark stretch in an infamous location
Get ready to have one of the weirdest and darkest taxi simulation titles out there in the world with the announcement for Silent Road. A new title on the way to the #PC from Endflame that is part taxi driving game, first-person horror, and potentially a little insensitive. I say that as Silent Road will have us all driving in the area of Japan where the suicide forest is located. You might know the one from all of the “influencers” trying to gain clout by doing messed-up things. That was a while ago, so maybe not, but that doesn’t change the fact that we are out there in this game. Although some of the other game mechanics might be something that can be a saving grace for the end of the game cycle.
