Draugen
A PS4 and Xbox One date for Draugen is set down after Draugen won many awards when it launched last year on the PC
If you missed out on playing Draugen on your PC last year, you still have the ability to obviously, but you will soon have a few other options on how you take on the game here. That is, Red Thread Games has given the announcement that we will soon be seeing the game hit the major consoles on February 21st of this year. That is, you will be able to find Draugen on the PS4 and Xbox One and maybe not all major consoles. So if you missed it on the PC you can aim to take it all on here or if you are a console gamer, you now have another title that the PC gamers had to themselves for a while now. Good news all around if you ask me.
You might be unfamiliar with Draugen before now, or you might not be, but those interest will be able to find an award-winning title that will have an American traveler set out to Norway to find his lost sister. The only main issue you might find here is that we are also going through things in the lens of an unreliable narrator. That means things are not always what they seem and we will have to confront some of the inner darkness to overcome everything in Draugen. Something that seems to be fully worth the price of admission based on that and the latest trailer for the game. Have a look and get ready to jump into it all in a few weeks.
Draugen — Announcement Trailer
Developed by Red Thread Games, the award-winning studio behind Dreamfall Chapters, Draugen received critical acclaim upon its initial PC release in May 2019 and won “Game of the Year” and “Best Audio” awards at the Norwegian Spillprisen 2019. This 21 February, Xbox One and PS4 players are finally invited to visit the picturesque town of Graavik and uncover its mysteries through the eyes of an increasingly unreliable narrator…
The year is 1923. You play Edward Charles Harden, an American traveler who’s come to Norway to find his missing sister. Accompanied by your ward Lissie, a lively and enigmatic young woman with a mind of her own, you’ll explore this scenic coastal community nestled amongst the fjords and mountains of rural Norway. But looks can be deceiving, as Draugen pushes you to unearth the darkness that lies deep within…
Did you miss out on Draugen when it hit the PC last year or did you hold off to get the game on the consoles? Do you think story games are good to have a staggered release or is it just the nature of the beast right now? Will you be giving it a go again now that you have a different option to play on? Let us all know what is on that mind down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. If we have more to share for Draugen, we will share it here. Be sure to keep coming back for all of that and more.
