Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered is being released for PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android as well as looks like the big tease that Quantic Dream and Aspyr had for us

Remember last week when we brought up the tease that Quantic Dream had for us for this week? Well it turns out my second thought on what was being teased was pretty much spot on as we have Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered coming out tomorrow (1/29/15) for PC, Linux, Mac, and iOS with an Android version to follow sometime soon. So I guess it is much less a tease than it is an announcement with extremely little lead in time for anyone out there to clear out their backlog a bit to give Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered a solid play through. I guess all of the fans of the franchise won’t care about something like that though and will just throw their $9.99 at Aspyr for remastering the game.

Before I let you on to see the launch trailer for Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered let’s touch upon what is new for the game to better help sell you on the purchase.

First it looks like this will be the completely uncensored version of the game. So if you feel like you missed out or thought something was missing then you will have it here in Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered. Also all of the control schemes have been altered to allow for touch screen capabilities and any controller you wish to use with your system to play the game. Lastly the textures have been upgrade to handle resolutions up to 2880×1800 and widescreen. This is of course only the textures and the angular 2005 character models still persist so it doesn’t really look like a full remastered HD version but for $10 can we really complain?

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered — Launch Trailer

Yes, Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered still looks like it is out of 2005 but it also gives a new audience to fully experience what Quantic Dream wanted to bring us back then. I’m talking more along the lines of the un-edited content more than anything which is the biggest selling point here for me. I just hope it sells well enough to get a port over to the PS3, PS4, XB360, and XB1 as well as all of the previously mentioned platforms. We’ll just have to hope that Aspyr has the time and resources as it is apparent that Quantic Dream is cool with Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered already.
