Kano Has Been Fully Announced For Mortal Kombat X

It has now been fully announced that Kano will be gracing us in Mortal Kombat X with three hardcore fighting styles

It was all but confirmed that Kano was coming to Mortal Kombat X last week via a German magazine sharing a few screens for the character. Now, as promised, Ed Boon has full announced Kano will be making a comeback to Mortal Kombat X even though he will be a bit older and relying on his cybernetics to not die right away. It really looks like NetherRealm is pushing that “in the future” aspect of the game doesn’t it?

So what do we get to look forward to for Kano in Mortal Kombat X? To me it looks like an extremely more brutal version of the character than I can ever remember playing. In fact, Kano used to be one of the characters I would never select because he always seemed too weak. Here’s a breakdown of the fighting styles that Kano will bring to Mortal Kombat X.

  • Cybernetic — (Laser Eye and Weapons)
  • Commando — (Grappling)
  • Cutthroat — (Knifestrike Kombos)

Like I said, Kano looks a lot more brutal of a character in Mortal Kombat X. He still doesn’t look like the best killer in the mix for the franchise but it is a vast improvement too me. Go ahead and hate me all of you hardcore Kano fans out there. This may be the first time I will ever enjoy playing as Kano, if it is required, in any Mortal Kombat title. I mean, outside of the flipping roll attack I found him pretty useless until now.
