Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel has been officially announced by Gearbox and 2K Australia. Looks like all the rumors were true.

Earlier this week there were rumors abound about a supposed Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. I personally poked at the rumor but as it would turn out some other press outlet just broke the embargo on the announcement. If this forced Gearbox’s hand to make things official is still up to debate but none the less here we have Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

As mentioned before, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel takes place after Borderlands but before Borderlands 2. You will be playing on a low gravity moon with laser and ice weapons. You will also be seeing the story of Handsome Jack’s rise to power while playing some of his underlings. Here’s that list again so you don’t have to keep hoping between articles to see what is fact and fiction.

As pretty much everything else about Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel hit the streets a few days ago there really isn’t much more to say…but we got things to show. As is common among announcements are trailers and screen shots. We have those below for you to look at even though it is all slated as Alpha footage at the moment. Having Alpha footage is better than no footage as we wait until Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel hits the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC most likely around Christmas or Thanksgiving for those in the ‘States’.
