The Walking Dead: Destinies Will Shamble To Us All Very Soon

The Walking Dead: Destinies

The release date for The Walking Dead: Destinies is on the way to give us all more of The Walking Dead next month

Well, it looks like we are not going to have to wait as long as we thought for The Walking Dead: Destinies to land out there, as we now have the release date for the game. More release dates, as Flux Games and GameMill Entertainment has it slightly staggered based on when you want to get the game digitally or if you want to go with a physical form. Given that there does not seem to be much of a difference to go with a physical form, The Walking Dead: Destinies might just be worth picking up on November 17th for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, or PC. Unless you truly want to wait until December 1st for the PlayStation and Xbox physical forms or all the way until January 16th to go physical on the Switch. Yeah, quite a bit of staggering.

Now that we have a better know of when we can dig into what else is being shown here for The Walking Dead: Destinies. There is a bit more on how the various choices we are going to make in the game will alter the story of the main show in some ways. We get a look at this from the classic Shane or Rick choice we had before, which seems to lead to who or how other characters make it to the prison. Then there seems to be a massive one that changes how things went down for characters on The Walking Dead that were made just for the show. Most likely the easier ones to get away with since the comic fans are crazier than the TV show fans in this case. Please have a look and see how we are getting teased.

The Walking Dead: Destinies — Release Date

Begin your journey as Rick Grimes, waking alone in a hospital surrounded by the dead. Assemble allies and fight your way through the Walker apocalypse across iconic locations from The Walking Dead, including Atlanta, the Greene family farm, the prison, and Woodbury. In crucial choice-driven moments, you’ll forever shape the destiny of your team of characters from the series. Heroes and villains, living and dead – it’s up to you to decide whether to stay the course of history or forge your own path through the world of AMC’s The Walking Dead. Coming to all platforms digitally on 11/17/23, Physical Xbox and PlayStation on 12/1/23, and Physical Nintendo Switch on 1/16/24.

I am a bit worried about the visuals for The Walking Dead: Destinies, though. Not in a way that will make the gameplay suffer, as it looks to be the standard affair when it comes to these games. In this instance, it comes down to being able to tell characters apart. Specifically in this trailer, I am not sure if we are seeing Lori, a different character, or a different look to Lori in one scene. It’s kind of hard to have an impact when you cannot tell who you are saving or killing. Not to mention that the T-dog twist makes it feel like the events of The Walking Dead are going to play out just the same, only with different characters causing them or saying the dialog. Not a true deviation in a timeline if this is all that is going to happen. I mean, Shane taking over at the start of it all could have led to the crew joining Woodbury and becoming part of the town. Thus leading to a “and they all lived” ending.

Will you be getting physical with this version of The Walking Dead or going to a completely digital path for this one? Will the characters be able to standout more once the story starts to flow or will there be some confusion based on their looks? How different will the story play out or do you fear it will follow the same path, just with different characters saying the lines? Wander into the comments below to discuss all of this and everything else we have to share with you. More for The Walking Dead: Destinies is on the way, so please keep on checking in for all of those updates and many more. Unless you also want to break the timeline of things and see the world end in a whimper instead of a bang…
