A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week
It is time to wrap up one more week and dive into all of the video games that we have out there now. This week gave us all a few releases in the gaming space, and we also had the release of the new #ResidentEvilMovie out there, so it has been a rather big one. Then you can toss in the announcements for #ControlResonant and #CallOfDuty: Modern Warfare 4 into the mix. Not to mention the various other video games releasing next week and then Clive Barker’s #HellraiserGame: Revival just after that. As we say around here often, it has been a massive and fun week of things for us all to partake in. Now, we just get to look forward to what is to come in the following weeks as we gear up for #Halloween around here.

The launch for Control Resonant is almost here, and we have a last look at Control Resonant before we can jump into it
We are now a week away from Control Resonant hitting the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC out there, maybe a little sooner depending on how you went about buying the game, but here we are with one more look at the game to get us all hyped up. Not that Remedy needs to hype us all up too much, as we have all been waiting for September 24th to get here so we can see where the story goes from here. Especially after that nice little recap of the Control line so far, and hints that it will further link into the bigger universe the team has been building up to now. But there are usually a few more stragglers out there who need some goading to pick up their video games, and that is what we are here with one last time.

Just ahead of next week’s release for #ControlResonant, we have a rundown of the various features that those playing on the PS5 will have out there. It always feels weird to say, but Remedy wanted to make certain we all knew what we were getting ourselves into with the game on the console, and why we should be looking to get it here instead of on the other platforms. Not that Control Resonant is going to look or handle any differently, but if the team took the time to put the extra work in, we might as well know what we are going to get to experience. Even if it is starting to feel like it is going to be the same no matter what game we are playing on the PS5. That all said, let us have a look at the extra features we can expect on this platform on September 24th.

Relive what we had in Control before the story continues onward with the upcoming #ControlResonant in a few weeks
We are so very close to the launch of #Control Resonant on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with September 24th just around the corner. There has been a good amount of speculation as to how Remedy is carrying the story forward and the Hiss escaped The Oldest House. There have also been a few out there who might not know how that all came to be, missing out on the original story of it all. There is still time to replay or play Control, but we all know that we are not made of all the time in the world. Those who have the time will be able to hammer out there fun we had before, but for those who cannot spend hours playing a game, it looks as if we have you covered. All with a new recap video for the original game to see what happened to Jesse and how Dylan will be involved in the next run of things.

A new look at Control Resonant was given out at gamescom to show how Dylan will alter things in the #Control universe
We are now in the final stretches of the cycle for #ControlResonant now that #gamescom has come and gone, but there is still so much more to look forward to for the game. September 24th is going to hit us so much faster than we could have expected, so Remedy is kicking things up to get us all ready for the game to land on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. At least, kicking things up in terms of building up the hype for the game to show us how Dylan will alter things in the Control world. Not that it has not already been altered pretty heavily by things bleeding into the world. It is just that this new look at the game shows off how more of this will keep the pacing of the action at an all-time high. Let us all get hyped up.

One more week in the bag, and Gods do we have a big one coming up. Even with this week doing a lot of build-up to #SDCC, we had so many video games out there with an announcement or one that is in the works. Clive Barker’s #HellraiserGame: Revival is going strong, and we had teases of what was on the way for #ControlResonant and Aliens: #FireteamElite2. A few of the video games that will be on display during #SDCC2026. Not to mention that #StageTour will have more to play with new tracks and a build out there for us all to hammer into. So much is going down, and so shortly after all of the other events that claimed all of the attention in the past month. It is an exciting time, for sure.

A new look at Control Resonant will be on display during SDCC 2026, along with many of the voices bringing #Control Resonant to life
Add more video games to the list of titles out at #SDCC this year, with #ControlResonant getting its own panel to help highlight the game before the September 24th release date that it has. It looks as if Remedy is getting fully behind it all after the last big showing just a few weeks ago, and next week, on July 25th, they will be hosting a nice panel to give us all more. More of the game, the world, and how Control Resonant will be keeping all of the universe’s narrative flowing forward. I am sure that all of the videos that will be shown are going to be released to those not able to make it out for SDCC or the panel, but for those who can, there will be some extra fun to entice you into Room 6BCF at 6:30 pm. #SDCC2026
