This Week In Video Games 3/16/26 — 3/20/26

This Week In Video Games 3/16/26 — 3/20/26

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week

We made it through another week of reality, and now we can kick back with some of the fun video games we have seen out there. Even if some of what we saw this week is still in the works. Titles like #TheOccultist and #Directive8020 are still in the works, but should be in our hands soon. There is the next big event for #TheOutlastTrials we need to prepare for, and some extra musical fun for There Are #NoGhostsGame At The Grand to entertain. So, there is definitely something to experience until all of the massive video games take their time to launch. Not to mention that some of the indie ones did release as you are reading all of this. Still a solid and fun week we had.

The Movie Nights Are Coming Back To Us Within Directive 8020

The Movie Nights Are Coming Back To Us Within Directive 8020

New details for Directive 8020’s multiplayer are here, and we are seeing what aspects #Directive8020 will be pulling from

It looks like all that we were speculating and hoping for in Directive 8020 is coming to light when it comes to the multiplayer for the game. It has now been confirmed that Supermassive Games is bringing back the Movie Night mode in this one, keeping The Dark Pictures mode alive. Not only that, but other lessons that they have learned in other titles will be showing up, too. That is to say, Directive 8020 will also have the Turning Points mechanic added into it all. Not just for the solo play, but even for the multiplayer aspect of the game. At least when it comes to the local version of the game when it lands on May 12th for the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC. The online part will come a little bit after all of that. For now, let us discuss what all of this means for the game.

This Week In Video Games 3/9/26 — 3/13/26

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week

Put a fork in this week, as it is done, and we have so many video games to look at here. So many with just basic updates, and others with some massive things to take in. Like the fact that #SouthOfMidnight is finally jumping onto other consoles. A new VR title in #TheBoys universe is on the way in time for the series finale. Along with some deep dives into a few other video games like #TheOccultist and #ControlResonant. So much fun and always more to come. We just need to make sure to keep all of our eyes open for everything that is about to drop. Even if that can be a little overwhelming at times.

Directive 8020 I Launching Out There With Some Fancier Path Tracing

Directive 8020 I Launching Out There With Some Fancier Path Tracing

Those on the PC with Directive 8020 will have some better sights, as #Directive8020 is launching with all the Nvidia perks

There was some big news out of GDC this year and it is all about some of the new path tracing tech that PC gamers will be able to see, with Directive 8020 adding to the list of titles out there. This is not overly surprising given how Supermassive Games has always been trying to push forward and evolve their methods. At least, that is how I have always seen it from their titles. Now, on May 12th, those who are playing Directive 8020 on the #PC and have the latest Nvidia hardware installed with the coming updates, you will get to see the full game with these path tracing elements and the DLSS 4.5 reconstruction. Those who will be playing the game on the #PS5 and #XboxSeriesX|S, sadly, will just have to settle for the following look and other videos uploaded from those who have the hardware.

This Week In Video Games 3/2/26 — 3/6/26

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week

The ride of the week is done, and we have so many video games out there to play and enjoy. Not just games, but a few other tidbits of fun out there in the pop culture sphere. Even if most of you have been here to see the updates for #Directive8020 and #InvincibleVS, more than the things outside of that scope. Maybe it was also the DLC update for #AtomicHeart or the cast updates for #007FirstLight as well. No matter the case, we had a fun week with video games and other things along the way. All so we can relax and get ready to do it all again next week. That is the job, at least.

Directive 8020 Offers Up A Full Look At The Crew We Will Get To Know

Directive 8020 Offers Up A Full Look At The Crew We Will Get To Know

A new developer diary for Directive 8020 is here, and it highlights more of the crew that we will get to play in #Directive8020

We have met some of the cast before now when it comes to Directive 8020, but only a select few. Not just a select few, but it was more of a broad stroke when it came to getting to know them. It looks as if Supermassive Games is ready to go one step further and give us a full dive into what it took to bring the characters to life, and a feel for all of the crew we are going to be playing with. Not to mention, it looks like the narrative structure in Directive 8020 might have a few extra twists and turns than we have experienced in any of the past titles in The Dark Pictures. So, that will be a full thing to get ready for when the game launches on the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC this coming May 12th. Still so much time, but we are in the final stretch.

Directive 8020 Offers A Better Look At The Character Played By Lashana Lynch

Directive 8020 Offers A Better Look At The Character Played By Lashana Lynch

Meet the pilot we will follow in Directive 8020 with a new look at the character and interview with the performer bringing them to life in #Directive8020

It feels like with each new video we get for Directive 8020, we get to know more about the characters and the world. Even before Supermassive Games had to delay the release of it until May 12th. Given that it might have been a while since we first met Brianna Young, the pilot of the spaceship we will be surviving in, it might be time to get to know the character again. Who better to give us all of that information than the person who is bringing the character to life in Directive 8020? That person being Lashana Lynch, who is offering not only the voice, but the likeness and motion capture of this cinematic horror title about to land on the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC. Let us have a look at the most recent interview to better understand what we are going to be getting ourselves into with the game.
