This Week In Video Games 8/24/26 — 8/28/26

This Week In Video Games 8/24/26 — 8/28/26

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week

This week has come to an end around here, and we had so many video games to look at. Partially due to the fact that #gamescom was in full swing, and also due to the fact that we had so many on the verge of release already. Along with the bigger teases that #GrandTheftAuto VI and Marvel’s #WolverinePS5 were going to have big showings this week before the event actually started. Although, that did leave some fun room for video games like #StageTour and #FinalFantasy7 VII Revelation to get some bigger announcements during the week. A solid and massive week for announcements, and we were not able to get to all of them as of yet. There were also so many more that we had to leave, and then others for titles that were releasing this week in general. Such a great time and bit of fun for us all to have in the realm.

Matchmaking Is Getting Slashed Up A Little In Halloween: The Game

Matchmaking Is Getting Slashed Up A Little In Halloween: The Game

Learn a bit on how Matchmaking is going to work in Halloween: The Game and see how often you can be the Boogeyman for #Halloween

We are under two weeks out from #HalloweenTVG landing on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with a whole lot of hype starting to build for it all. Even if it is following the same structure that we have seen from IllFonic in other horror IPs, this one is getting a little more of a shakeup. Not just because we are getting a single-player mode for Halloween: The Game, but now it looks as if Gun Interactive is pushing forward with a new way to do matchmaking. A way that might make it easier to play as Michael Myers in the game, but it could easily be abused. Depending on how they implement the new matchmaking system to get us all into the matches and slaying each other in the multiplayer. #gamescom

This Week In Video Games 7/6/26 — 7/10/26

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week

That was a fun week with so many video games to highlight and get to look out for. Obviously, the big one had to be our review of #ACBlackFlag Resynced. Then a lot of things started to flow out there for #SDCC this year that we are going to get to cover. Games like Marvel Tōkon: #FightingSouls, Marvel’s #WolverinePS5, and #GodOfWar Laufey will be out there in terms of big video games, but there are still many others that we have yet to cover on the site. Then add in all of the other interactive media that we will have out there for those who are going to be at the convention. Gods, there are still so many more things for us to share before we head out there in a few weeks. #SDCC2026

Orange Grove Estates Will Soon Be Physically Terrorized In Halloween

Orange Grove Estates Will Soon Be Physically Terrorized In Halloween

An iconic location from the Halloween IP is on display, as we have updates for the physical editions for #HalloweenTVG

Even though we are still a good way out from #Halloween landing on the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC this September 8th, it does not mean we cannot go trick or treating up and down some streets right now. As long as you are looking to have a nice little look at the Orange Grove Estates that IllFonic has brought to life in the game. The first of the game maps that we can expect to be surviving and stalking around in, as well as one of the iconic locations from the Halloween IP. Not a massive shocker for many, but this also comes along with the fact that there will be a physical form of the game for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S landing on October 6th, along with the fun collectibles that any horror fan would want to add to their collection. That is where more of the fun comes in.

This Week In Video Games 6/8/26 — 6/12/26

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week

It has been one wild week here for video games, and we need to place a solid pin in it, or we are going to lose our minds. We have not even been able to catch up to all of the massive announcements and reveals that have come out, and there is still so much more. We had more for #StageTour coming out, the reveals and gameplay for #Halloween and #REVeronica, and then a little more for #KingdomHearts4 drop as well. And those are only a few of the video games that we had a chance to get to during the week here. There were so many that we had to just keep dropping videos on our social channels just to make sure you were not missing out. So, have a look over there if you feel like something is missing.

Michael Myers Is Picking Up The Knife In Single Player For Halloween

Michael Myers Is Picking Up The Knife In Single Player For Halloween

The single player mode for Halloween is on display to give us a feel for how that will play out when #Halloween starts

We have had the multiplayer look at #HalloweenTVG, and now we have a solid update on how the single-player part of the game will flow out there. The bigger selling point for so many when IllFonic and Gun Interactive said that the game would have a true single-player mode on top of the asymmetric multiplayer modes that can get rather repetitive quickly. This is something that a few other titles have tried before, and with September 8th not as far off as many might think, this could be the biggest selling point for Halloween when it is ready for the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC. At least for the audience that currently has so many options for the style of play, or has watched as all of the others have been shut down in rather quick timelines. So, let’s see how this one will shake things up for us.

Stalk The Multiplayer Nightmare With A New Overview For Halloween The Video Game

Have a look at the multiplayer aspect of Halloween The Video Game to see just how they are bringing #Halloween into a new form

It’s time to check back in with #HalloweenTVG to see just how multiplayer matches will function in the game. It’s exciting to say that specifically as IllFonic and Gun Interactive still have plans to give us a true single player mode too. For now, we’re going to focus on the matches and how they are going to function in the 1v4 style. That is, players will be either a Civilian or one will play as Halloween’s boogeyman, Michael Myers. Just as the other games like it, Michael has the goal of killing everyone on the map, and Civilians trying to survive the night. The only thing is that there will be some extra twists to that survival, as we see that the teams have learned a lot from all of the other asymmetric games they have out there. So, it’s time to get excited to see all of this on the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC when September 9th comes around.
