A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week
Just as we were expecting, this was certainly a full week of video games. Some of it is catching up from all of the big announcements we did have, while also offering up some other games that were left out of #TheGameAwards, as they would not drive money to the show. Titles like Clive Barker’s #HellraiserRevival and #Painkiller, even if others like #Divinity and #WARLOCK hit on the harsher themes and mature content in the same ways. It is kind of why you still need some of the mavericks like us out there covering the various video games that are not going to be big news for the “mainstream.” Gods, I hate that we are in this timeline of things where that needs to be the case.

A new developer diary for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is out there to help us show how #Hellraiser is finally coming to video games
One of the more interesting updates we had that was not part of #TheGameAwards this year had to be from Clive Barker’s #HellraiserRevival. Almost as if the award show was even afraid to touch the topic of the game. Yet Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games carry it all onward to make sure we know what is going on. Perhaps it is due to the graphic nature of the Hellraiser IP, and the awards show did not want to risk losing any of that ad revenue, so they played it safe for themselves while keeping gamers in the dark about it. Given that this is a new developer diary where the team and talent are talking about the violence and sexual themes that we know we are going to experience here. Take that as a warning that we are about to delve into some sensitive topics before we proceed to see how their vision is coming to life. #PS5 #XboxSeriesX #PC

Let us wrap up this week of video games and news out there. Not that we truly have a choice in it all, as the week is coming to an end and the news is going to dry up a bit. Even if we did get some solid things like season three for #TwistedMetal on the way, so racy gameplay for #HellraiserRevival, and some looks at #007FirstLight and #JPSurvival in the mix. Along with some smaller video games getting the highlight and release out there in the wild. A solid and round week indeed, with much to give thanks for. Now you might guess where all of this is going…

New gameplay for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is out there to give us a feel for the pain that #Hellraiser will be bringing us
The sights are coming for us all to see, with the official gameplay for Clive Barker’s #HellraiserGame. Gameplay that might be a bit questionable for some out there, as it does look like Saber Interactive had to make a whole lot of censors to get it out there in the wild. Thankfully, not so many that we are not able to see what pleasures and pains the game will offer up when it hits the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC in 2026. All very fitting for the Hellraiser IP, but not for the general audiences of the internet. A weird thing to say, given what is on the internet, but censorship is a thing out there so that the “moral majority” can keep those safe out there. You know, because they just do not have the option to just not watch or make sure that their young ones are not watching. What a world we live in… In any instance, here we go with the first bit of gameplay for the game.
