This Week In Video Games 5/4/26 — 5/8/26

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week

The time has passed right along, and we are at the end of yet another week with so many video games dropping and getting updates. We even had a few hit us up out of nowhere to get us all further excited for #HTRDeathwish and now #WTARageborn. Not video games I was expecting this week when it started with #ControlResonant. Again, not a bad thing, but we did not plan for so much fun and also getting our #MousePIForHire review out there in the wild. These are all great things, just none of them could have been perfectly planned behind the scenes over here. I will stop with all of that and just move right along.

Review — Mouse: P.I. For Hire

Review — Mouse: P.I. For Hire

We sit down and review Mouse: P.I. For Hire. A new rubber-hose animated title that offers a noir investigation. Here is our review of #Mouse.

We are finally on the case out there, with the launch of #MousePIForHire for the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, #Switch2, and #PC. A title that started as a basic little proof of concept so very long ago, and now Fumi Games has it on the market so we can see if that concept truly pans out. That is the concept of a detective noir-setting game, where all the animation follows the rubber-hose style of the 1920s and 1930s. Mouse: P.I. For Hire is not the first to give that a try, but it does feel as if it is the first one to take us into the era with the story and setting. That all said, how does it all hold up? That is why we are back here with another review for you all to take in, along with a lot of gameplay to see if it will vibe with you. Let us drop into the investigation of it all right now.

This Week In Video Games 4/6/26 — 4/10/26

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week

Just like that, we are done with yet another full week in the world of video games out there. One that had us all over the place, from massive titles to the smallest of indie titles. That is not a complaint, but just fun to see that we do not always need to have titles like #007FirstLight or #SilentHill dominating the screens. We can also have video games like #Koshmar: The Last Reverie and #MousePIForHire take in some of the spotlight. Even if the #InvincibleVS open beta might be taking some of that light until it ends over the weekend. It is what it is, but we are all thankful for it.

Mouse: P.I. For Hire Drops The Case Files On The Voice Cast

Mouse: P.I. For Hire Drops The Case Files On The Voice Cast

It is time to meet the voice cast for Mouse: P.I. For Hire just ahead of us all taking on the role of this #Mouse

As we all expected, it looks as if we have more for #MousePIForHire to share with you all before the game launches on the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, #Switch2, and #PC on April 16th. Not just in the way of a launch trailer as would normally be the case, but in a way that Fumi Games has put together a nice look at the voice cast that will be bringing the characters all to life. Not just the Troy Baker announcement, but the larger cast that will also be bringing the supporting roles to life in Mouse: P.I. For Hire. Along with all of that, we also have a bit of fun, looking at some of the mindsets and humor that the game is going to provide, in addition to the first-person shooting. Let us all have a look and listen.

Mouse: P.I. For Hire Launches Into The Case On A New Day

The release of Mouse: P.I. For Hire is almost here, with the #Mouse detective on the case in only a few more days

It looks as if the dates have shifted and now we are well on the way to seeing #MousePIForHire on the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, #Switch2, and #PC. Well, in a few more days from now, as Fumi Games puts the last little touches on the rubber hose animated video game. One that feels like it was announced so very long ago, but we are in the endgame for the release. Especially as it looks like Mouse: P.I. For Hire is about to launch fully on April 16th. So, get your detective hats ready and your long coat from the cleaners, as we are about to wander into this interesting-looking first-person shooter in a cartoony world. I am so ready for this launch out there.

Robo-Betty Is Ready For A Fight In Mouse: P.I. For Hire

Robo-Betty Is Ready For A Fight In Mouse: P.I. For Hire

Get ready for a boss fight in Mouse: P.I. For Hire, as we have a tease of who our #Mouse will be fighting out there

It is time to take aim at one of the bosses we are going to face off with in #MousePIForHire. Well, more see how the fight could go down, as Fumi Games still has some time to perfect things before the March 19th release on the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, Switch, #Switch2, and #PC for the game. Even if it does look as if this fight is good to go and will give us a bit of what we would expect in a shooter like Mouse: P.I. For Hire, while also digging into the art style a bit more. Not to mention, it does look as if things will get a little “meta” out in the game to spice the game up with a little more humor than we might have been expecting along the way. Enough of all of that, let us see how this boss fight, and most likely others, will play out.

This Week In Video Games 10/27/25 — 10/31/25

This Week In Video Games 10/27/25 — 10/31/25

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week

The day for all of the horror video games to be played is here, #Halloween, and it also happens to cap off the week for so many out there. Some of us actually get the day off to do all of that and try to lean into the hobbies more than work for the day. Hence why we had so much during the week and up until the end, when we are going to be digging further into all of those spooky things. Like the horrors of #Beneath, or watching more for #RERequiem. Maybe even dabble a bit more into #PoppyPlaytime, and getting ready for #Directive8020 to fully launch out there. That is on top of all of the other horror video games out there right now, nighttime parties, and scaring each other to celebrate the dead coming back to the land of the living.
